Nate and Whitney were married at the Tuscany Restaurant in Salt Lake City, Utah on July 16th. After working with these two on their bridal and engagement sessions it felt like I was in the company of old friends. Their friends and family were gracious and warm. One of my favorite moments of the day was when Nate’s Grandfather, accompanied by Eric Anthony, sang “Can’t Help Falling In Love” during the ceremony. There wasn’t a dry eye around. Tuscany Restaurant was beautiful as always and I feel fortunate to have been a part of this wonderful day.

This was such a great day for a wedding. Despite the weather and other issue, this wedding went off without a hitch. We started the day off early. The girls and guys were supposed to have separate cabins. Due to a power issue they ended up having to share. Luckily these cabins were more like large homes with plenty of room for everyone. From there it was just a short 10 minute drive to Snowbasin Resort. Thunder storm after thunder storm blew over the mountain and the gondola ended up being closed down for the entire day. With the wedding planned at the Needles Lodge at the top of the mountain the plan was changed and everything was moved to Earls Lodge at the bottom of the hill. No matter where the ceremony ended up happening it was going to be incredible. There was just too much love and positivity for any other outcome. It was a long day and it wore me out but I had a great time and want to thank everyone involved for taking such great care of me.

For some reason, unbeknownst to me, I have a fascination with photographing wedding rings. I have many other photographic obsessions, but I love seeing what I can create. Yesterdays wedding was a lot of fun. There was a traditional Vietnamese ceremony earlier in the day and then a traditional ceremony in the evening. As a wedding photographer, I love being able to experience so many different cultures and their wedding traditions. The Vietnamese ceremony was held at the bride’s parents home and the traditional ceremony and reception were held at the Arbor Manor Reception Center in Taylorsville, Utah. Below are some photographs of the wedding rings from yesterdays wedding. Watch for a full post as soon as I finish processing the rest of the pictures.

Spent some time on the beach with Jamie and Alex and they have a new baby on the way! They were married in the Salt Lake City, Utah LDS Temple on March 11th, 2011 and I was their Utah wedding photographer. They have moved away since then but were back in town for a short time and asked me to take some pictures of their baby bump 🙂

I am a little behind in posting this wedding and when I say a little behind I mean a lot behind. Better now than never though. I am glad I waited as I think my processing skills have improved since then. Luckily Scott just placed a print order and gave me the incentive to go through these again. Scott and Kortnie were married in the Oquirrh Mountain, Utah LDS Temple. This is one of the most beautiful temples I have seen. Here we go –
